Job Summary Strategic Sourcing & Category Management is responsible for overseeing procurement, sourcing, and vendor management activities across banking and technology-related initiatives. This role focuses on driving strategic sourcing engagements, commercial negotiations, and contract management while partnering closely with business, legal, and technology stakeholders. The successful candidate will support procurement strategies that deliver cost optimisation, risk management, and strong vendor partnerships within a regulated enterprise environment. Mandatory Skill-set • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Law, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline; • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, IT procurement, vendor management, contract management, commercial negotiations, preferably within banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments; • Strong experience reviewing and negotiating IT contracts with technology vendors and service providers; • Familiarity with procurement and sourcing processes across IT categories; • Good understanding of contractual risk management principles; • Experience working with legal, compliance, and risk stakeholders in regulated environments. Desired Skill-set • Familiarity with MAS outsourcing guidelines and technology risk management requirements; • Exposure to enterprise technology procurement and large-scale transformation initiatives; • Experience negotiating with major technology vendors and system integrators; • Knowledge of software licensing models, cloud commercial structures, and IT service agreements. Responsibilities • Lead and support strategic sourcing and procurement activities for IT and technology-related initiatives across the Bank; • Review, negotiate, and manage IT contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers; • Collaborate closely with Strategic Sourcing & Procurement teams, Group Legal, Risk, Compliance, and IT stakeholders to protect the Bank’s interests and optimise commercial value; • Drive cost optimisation, contract governance, and vendor management initiatives while ensuring service quality and compliance; • Ensure adherence to the Bank’s procurement policies, process standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements; • Support risk management practices through effective stakeholder engagement, communication, and escalation management where required.
