Established in 1992, the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is the only full-fledged communication school in Singapore and is a world-class centre of excellence with an international faculty, state-of-the-art research laboratories, and global institutional affiliations. We are looking for a Research Assistant to support a multidisciplinary research project on active commuting, health communication, and behavioural change in Singapore. The successful candidate will assist with data collection and analysis, project administration, and dissemination activities. The project involves collaboration across communication, behavioural science, public health, and data analytics domains. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the development, testing, and administration of research instruments, including surveys, focus group protocols, and experimental materials. • Support IRB applications, amendments, and related research documentation. • Participate in project meetings and contribute to research planning, coordination, and implementation. • Support project administration (procurement, reimbursement, budgeting, documentation). • Liaise with vendors, collaborators, platforms, and research participants. • Assist in participant recruitment and coordination across studies and fieldwork. • Coordinate scheduling, venues, communication, and research logistics. • Support quantitative and qualitative data collection (surveys, interviews, experiments). • Assist in data cleaning, coding, quality control, and organisation. • Conduct data cleaning, coding, preliminary analyses, and data visualisation using software such as SPSS, R, Excel, or related tools. • Prepare reports, summaries, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. • Assist in manuscript, conference paper, and dissemination material preparation. Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in communication, psychology, public health, social sciences, behavioural science, data science, or related fields. • Strong organisational and project coordination skills with attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Familiarity with quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, study administration, participant recruitment, and research coordination. • Experience with research coordination, survey administration, or data analysis is preferred. • Ability to conduct literature reviews and synthesise academic findings. • Familiarity with data cleaning, coding, and research documentation practices. • Proficiency in statistical software and data analytics tool such as SPSS, R, or Excel will be advantageous. • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Entry level candidates with strong research training are encouraged to apply.
