Our business involves physical trading, structured transactions, and risk-managed trading strategies. The role As a Research & Ops Intern, you'll work closely with our trading and operations teams to support day-to-day market intelligence and trade workflows. This is a hands-on role — you'll be doing real work, not making coffee. You will: • Conduct market research on base metals and critical minerals — tracking price movements, supply-demand dynamics, industry news, and macroeconomic developments • Compile and maintain data sets; build clean, structured summaries and research reports for internal use • Monitor key market indicators, trade flows, and competitor activity across copper, cobalt, nickel, and adjacent commodities • Support the trading team with deal-related research, counterparty background checks, and ad hoc analysis • Assist with trade operations including documentation, contract processing, and shipment coordination • Provide general administrative support as needed Your profile You are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or higher program, preferably in Economics, Finance, International Trade, Business or a related field. You'll also bring: • Genuine curiosity about commodities markets, global trade, and industrial supply chains • Strong research and analytical skills — you knowhow to find information, synthesise it, and communicate it clearly • Comfort with data: Excel proficiency is a base line; experience with data tools (Python/R) or AI-assisted research workflows is a plus • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English • A detail-oriented, self-starter mindset — you take ownership, follow through, and flag problems early What we value • Commercial thinking.
