Our business involves physical trading, structured transactions, and risk-managed trading strategies. The role As a Data& AI Intern, you'll work directly with our trading team to build tools that make us smarter and faster. This isn't a research project — the work you do will be used by real traders making real decisions. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and early applications are strongly encouraged. You will: • Build and iterate on price forecasting models for copper and other base metals, drawing on LME data, macro indicators, and supply-demand fundamentals • Develop interactive dashboards to visualise price trends, trading positions, and market data for internal use • Design and implement AI-powered tools to automatically summarise market reports, news, and industry publications —surfacing what matters to the trading desk quickly • Collect, clean, and structure data from multiple sources to support ongoing analysis and modelling • Work closely with traders to understand what information they need and translate that into practical tools Your profile You are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or higher program, preferably in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. You'll also bring: • Solid programming skills in Python; experience with data libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, or PyTorch is a plus • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and an interest in applying them to financial or commodities data • Experience building dashboards or datavisualisations (e.g. Plotly, Streamlit, Power BI, or similar) • Comfort working with APIs, scraping data, or handling messy real-world datasets • Curiosity about commodity markets — you don't need to be a trader, but you should want to understand how the business works • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English What we value • Commercial thinking.
