About this role
Are you the person who walks into a small apartment and immediately sees the potential? We're Spaceman, Singapore's leader in space-saving furniture — murphy beds, sofa beds, extendable dining tables, and designer storage beds that genuinely transform how people live. We have a beautiful showroom, a loyal customer base, and a product that sells itself to the right person. We're looking for a Sales Designer who gets excited about solving real problems for real people — someone who can listen to a homeowner's frustrations about their 500 sq ft flat and walk them out with a solution they're genuinely thrilled about. What you'll actually be doing You'll own the full sales journey — from the first enquiry to taking the order, but from that point our ops team will take over with making it happen so you can focus on new opportunities. You will be: • Consulting with customers (in showroom and online) to understand their space and lifestyle • Recommending the right products and configurations from our range • Producing simple 3D layouts using SketchUp or similar tools to bring proposals to life • Following up on leads and managing your own pipeline • Hitting sales targets while maintaining the kind of service that generates referrals This isn't a scripted retail role. You'll have real conversations, make real recommendations, and build real relationships. You'll thrive here if you: • Have experience in furniture, interior design, or a consultative sales environment • Enjoy people and are genuinely curious about how they live • Can communicate ideas clearly — visually and verbally • Are organised enough to manage your own follow-up without being chased • Are comfortable working weekends (our busiest time — when homeowners are free) • Communicate well in English; other languages are a bonus Formal design qualifications are welcome but not required. We care more about your instincts and your attitude than your certificates. What's in it for you • Commission structure that rewards genuine performance • A product range that's genuinely differentiated — you won't be selling commodity furniture • A small, tight team where good work is noticed • Showroom in a beautiful double conservation shophouse at 259 Lavender Street Sound like you? Send us your CV and if you are a good fit we will arrange an informal chat to take things forward.
