SAP PAPM Technical Consultant

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP PAPM expert to lead and support a scoping-to-prototype engagement for a global Oil & Gas industry. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders to define, design, and deliver aworking prototype aligned to key business processes. Key Responsibilities 1. Scoping & Workshop Execution • Support preparation of scoping workshops with client stakeholders • Participate in remote alignment sessions prior to workshops • Lead / contribute to onsite scoping workshop (Singapore) • Capture business requirements, pain points, and define solution scope 2. Solution Design & Prototyping • Translate business requirements into SAP PAPM solution design • Define prototype architecture, data flows, and calculation models • Configure SAP PAPM Cloud environment • Design and implement allocation, simulation, and profitability models 3. Data & Integration • Identify required datasets and collaborate with client teams for data readiness • Work with SAP BW and other source systems for data extraction and modelling • Ensure data consistency and integrity for prototype use cases 4. Build & Development • Perform configuration and any required custom developments within SAP PAPM • Optimize performance of models and calculations • Handle system adjustments to meet evolving requirements 5. Testing & Validation • Define test scenarios aligned with business use cases • Execute functional and integration testing of the prototype • Validate outputs with business stakeholders 6. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer • Document solution design, configurations, and business scenarios • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with SAP and client teams • Provide recommendations for scaling from prototype to full implementation Required Skills & Experience • 8–12+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on SAP PAPM • Proven experience in SAP PAPM Cloud implementations or prototypes • Strong hands-on experience with SAP BW (data modelling, extraction) • Solid understanding of financial modelling, allocations, and profitability analysis • Experience in workshop facilitation and stakeholder management • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Preferred Experience • Prior experience working with SAP Value Prototyping engagements • Experience in Oil & Gas or similar asset-heavy industries • Exposure to S/4HANA Finance or related modules • Experience in rapid prototyping / pilot engagement Soft Skills • Strong communication and presentation skills • Ability to work with senior stakeholders across SAP and client teams • Structured thinking with a problem-solving mindset • Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment
