Job ScopeCampus Supervision & Discipline Prevention • Serve as a visible adult presence in high-movement areas and conduct systematic patrols during recess, lunch breaks, and lesson transitions. • Maintain supervisory presence in the canteen and Indoor Sports Hall during daily recess periods. • Support proactive discipline strategies and assist in simple peer reconciliation or mediation (where appropriate). Latecoming monitoring • Collect mobile phones and record latecomers arriving after 8am (Tuesdays to Fridays) or 9am (Mondays). • Manage latecomers data and Detention list. In-House Suspension Support • Help establish a structured environment for suspended students to support learning continuity during suspension. • Guide students through structured reflective activities and support their transition back into the classroom environment. Investigative & Case Support • Assist in conducting preliminary investigations and fact-finding interviews. • Obtain student and witness statements where appropriate. • Compile evidence and prepare structured incident reports to relevant Key Personnel for directions. Detention & Restorative Follow-Up • Supervise detention sessions, including maintaining attendance and behavioural records. • Coordinate reflection and restorative activities with Student Management Committee members. • Facilitate student reflection on choices, consequences and improvement strategies, ensuring that detention tasks are meaningful and developmental in nature. Data Management • Collate and manage discipline-related data, including latecoming records, discipline statements, and other relevant documentation. Deployment & Reporting • The DSO will report operationally to the Student Management Committee. • The deployment schedule will be determined by the school in accordance with the termly school timetable and school events Performance Expectations The DSO is expected to: • demonstrate professionalism, discretion and good judgement. • engage students respectfully and constructively. • uphold confidentiality and procedural fairness. • collaborate effectively with teachers and SM personnel. RequirementsWorking Experience • The Personnel should ideally have prior working experience in a uniformed service background (e.g. Singapore Police Force, Singapore Prison Service, or equivalent), preferably with more than 10 years of experience, and with involvement in youth-related case investigation, behavioural support, and restorative work. Core Competencies • The Personnel should possess the following competencies: • Conflict management, de-escalation, and calm and proportionate behavioural intervention • Sound judgement, discretion and professionalism • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Accurate incident observation, documentation, and record management • Proficiency in basic data entry and management, including organising and updating simple Excel spreadsheets • Engagement Disposition and Professional Conduct • The Personnel should demonstrate a firm yet respectful approach when working with students, with the ability to build rapport while upholding expectations. • Cultural sensitivity and awareness of the school environment are important, as is a collaborative working style with teachers and Student Management staff. • The Personnel is expected to uphold confidentiality, procedural fairness, and professional conduct in all interactions with students and staff. • Values & Professional Ethics • The Personnel should be aligned with a care-based and restorative approach to discipline, with a genuine belief in student growth and developmental support. • The Personnel should demonstrate empathy and compassion in youth work, alongside professional maturity, reliability, and respect for student dignity. Contract duration: From 29 Jun 2026 to 30 Oct 2026 Working Arrangement • 8am to 5pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break (8 working hours, excluding 1 hour lunch break) • Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazette public and school holidays, except for the dates specified below where applicable. • Term 3: 29 Jun to 3 Sep 2026, 10 weeks, Mon to Fri • Term 4: 14 Sep to 29 Oct 2026, 7 weeks, Mon to Fri • Total estimated working hours: 680 hours Salary: $2,800 to $3,000 per month Location: Bishan EA License No.: 96C4864 Reg.
