Senior / DeltaV Engineer

Job Summary Design and deliver DeltaV automation systems for pharmaceutical or biotechnology plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and site requirements. Lead system architecture development, testing, and project automation strategy execution. Responsibilities • Design and deliver DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) on site to meet project requirements • Develop and implement automation solutions aligned with S88 batch standards for plant operations • Create and review System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) deliverables compliant with site standards • Collaborate with DeltaV teams to develop system architecture, control strategies, and sequence of operations throughout design phases • Supervise and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to validate system functionality and compliance • Apply technical expertise in control systems, including control panels, networking, panel/field wiring, and PLC systems, to support project delivery • Ensure adherence to project automation strategy and quality management processes, including GAMP lifecycle standards • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain customer orientation throughout project execution • Analyze and resolve technical issues to maintain system performance and reliability • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives Required competencies and certifications • Proven experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS and DeltaV Batch systems • Experience designing and commissioning DeltaV DCS projects for GMP manufacturing sites • Thorough understanding of S88 batch standards (Control Modules, Equipment Modules, Phases, Recipes, Units) • Familiarity with GAMP lifecycle and pharmaceutical quality management processes Preferred competencies and qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Automation, Bio Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science • Experience in pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industries • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint
