Senior Naval Architect/Structural Engineer

Job Summary We are urgently seeking a Senior Naval Architect cum Structural Engineer to lead advanced structural design and analysis for F(P)SO/FSO floating installations, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities • Perform complex naval architecture and structural calculations for F(P)SO hulls, topside supports, and hull interface structures to ensure structural integrity and safety • Conduct intact and damage stability, hydrodynamics, mooring, in-place, pre-service (lifting, loadout, transportation, installation), fatigue, vibration/dynamic response, blast, and fire analyses using finite element analysis tools • Develop and oversee the preparation of Naval Architecture and Structural Design Basis documentation for FSO/FPSO projects • Utilize software such as ANSYS, STAAD.Pro, FEMAP, SDC Verifier, ABS Eagle, BV VERISTAR Hull, and DNV Nauticus Hull to perform structural analysis and verification • Create initial 3-D geometric models using pre-processors or solid modeling software to support design and analysis activities • Apply knowledge of Metocean data and generate environmental loadings for wave, wind, current, hull motion, slamming, and green water effects to inform design decisions • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards including AWD D1.1, API, AISC, ASME, ABS, BV, DNV, ISO 19901 series, IMO, MARPOL, and OCIMF • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural design with operational and safety requirements Preferred competencies and qualifications • Minimum 10 years of structural design experience for F(P)SO/FSO or floating installations • Experience working in the Design Section of a shipyard
