About this role
JOB SCOPE: • Serve as lead cinematographer / videographer and camera operator across productions — corporate films, brand commercials, interviews, event highlights, narratives, and digital content. • Act as Director of Photography on craft-led shoots: own lighting design, lensing, shot composition, and the overall visual look, translating the Director's vision into camera. • Lead video editing and post-production: assemble, cut, and finish content to a high standard across the full range of APEX deliverables, from corporate films to social/digital content and event highlight reels. • Handle colour grading, motion graphics, basic VFX, music, and sound design to complete polished final assets. • Own production logistics: equipment prep, load-in/load-out, and on-site setup of cameras, lighting, audio, monitors, and rigging for both studio shoots and live events. • Operate, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the full equipment inventory — cameras, lenses, audio/video recorders, lighting, and accessories — and flag servicing or replacement needs. • Guide and coordinate junior crew and freelancers on set and on-site, ensuring consistent technical and visual quality. • Manage production timelines and delivery from brief reception to final asset handoff, ensuring deadlines and specs are met. • Lead live-streaming and broadcast operation for enterprise events and webinars — system setup, signal flow, and on-the-day execution. • Maintain and improve production SOPs, equipment protocols, and media/asset management workflows, aligned with APEX's ISO-certified operating standards. • Support the Director and teams with technical planning, shot logistics, and feasibility input during pre-production. REQUIREMENTS: • Degree/Diploma in Film, Sound & Video, Media, or equivalent — with 5+ years of hands-on production experience and a strong technical showreel. • Expert-level camera operation and videography across single- and multi-camera setups. • Advanced practical knowledge of lighting and production audio for both shoots and live events. • Strong technical ability to set up, configure, operate, and fix video, audio, and lighting equipment in the field. • Streaming expertise: Zoom Meetings & Webinars, OBS/vMix; other systems welcomed. • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve (colour grading) is a plus. • Proven ability to manage production logistics, timelines, and delivery independently. • Calm under pressure, highly organised, and able to lead execution in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and a high standard for finished work. • Design/animation skill is a bonus.
