Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to lead the design and simulation of metasurface-based optical sensing devices. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing next-generation nanophotonic sensing platforms by combining advanced electromagnetic modeling with strong physical insight. Key Responsibilities • Design and simulate metasurface structures for optical sensing applications. • Develop and optimize device performance using numerical simulation tools (e.g., FDTD, FEM, RCWA). • Analyze and interpret results based on principles of nanophotonics and optical physics. • Support and guide experimental efforts, including optical and electrical characterization of sensing devices. • Collaborate with fabrication and characterization teams to ensure design-to-experiment alignment. • Contribute to technical publications, reports, and intellectual property development. Qualifications & Requirements • PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field. • Strong theoretical foundation in optical physics and nanophotonics. • Proven experience in metasurface design and simulation. • Familiarity with optical sensing devices and their performance metrics. • Experience with simulation tools such as Lumerical FDTD, COMSOL Multiphysics, or equivalent. • Ability to translate physical concepts into practical device designs. Preferred Skills • Understanding of optical and electrical characterization techniques. • Experience in inverse design or optimization algorithms for photonic structures. • Strong publication record in metasurfaces or nanophotonics. • Experience working in multidisciplinary research environments.
