About this role
Key Responsibilities Automation: 1. Collaborate with software development and QA teams to understand testing requirements and provide guidance for development of appropriate test strategies. 2. Execute automated tests to validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure high-quality deliverables. 3. Enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability. 4. Analyze test results and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders regarding software quality. 5. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automation technologies, incorporating relevant tools and practices into our testing processes. 6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle by advocating for automation and implementing efficient testing methodologies. 7. Knowledge of test scripts automation using Selenium or Cypress frameworks. 8. Knowledge of API testing and tools such as Postman or Swagger. 9. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. 10. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Testing Governance 11. Leverage hands-on testing experience to guide testing teams on testing governance and best practices, while collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to drive consistent quality, enhance IT performance, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. 12. Conduct testing governance reviews and audits across projects to assess compliance with standards, identify gaps, and recommend improvements. 13. Develop and maintain testing artefact templates and standards, including test strategies, test plans, entry/exit criteria, and defect managementguidelines, ensuring they are practical and usable by teams of varying maturity. 14. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effectivetesting governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the strategicalignment, risk management, and overall effectiveness of the testing. 15. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying systemicquality issues, root causes, and process improvement opportunities based ontesting data and audit findings. 16. Provide regular status updates on the various application team’s testingquality standards What we are looking for Requirements: 1. Preferably more than 5 years of experience as a Software Tester usingSelenium and Cypress frameworks. 2. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, or Python. 3. Experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS. 4. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins). 5. Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. 6. Strong understanding of testing best practices, including test strategy, test planning, entry/exit criteria, and defect management. 7. Experience in setting up and maintaining testing governance framework sand procedures 8. Experience conducting testing governance reviews and audits, with the ability to identify gaps and recommend practical improvements. 9. Ability to develop and maintain testing artefact templates and standards that are practical and usable by teams of varying maturity levels. 10. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 11. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams. 12. Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and improvement. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
