School: Jiemin Primary School Address: 2 Yishun Street 71, Singapore 768515 Contract Period: 01 July 2026 – 30 November 2026 (5 Months) Extension Option: Up to 10 Months (at School's discretion) Position OverviewJiemin Primary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Welfare & Pastoral Care Officer to support students requiring behavioural, emotional, and social guidance. The successful candidate will play a key role in student engagement, first-response intervention, mentoring, and supporting student well-being initiatives. ⏰ Working Hours️ Monday to Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM ️ Inclusive of 30-minute lunch break No service required on: • Saturdays • Sundays • Singapore Public Holidays Key Responsibilities First Response & Student Support• Respond promptly to teacher requests for assistance. • Escort students to designated pull-out locations when required. • Provide initial intervention, triage, and basic counselling support. • Manage students experiencing emotional or behavioural escalations. • Contact parents/guardians to provide initial updates. • Provide observations and recommendations to relevant school personnel. Student Mentoring & Befriending• Build positive relationships with students. • Mentor and guide students who are at risk of re-offending or displaying behavioural concerns. • Encourage positive behaviour and social-emotional development. • Support students in achieving personal and behavioural goals. Student Engagement & Programme Support• Manage and supervise student engagement activity hubs. • Support after-school programmes and student enrichment activities. • Assist during learning journeys and school-based events. • Promote meaningful participation among high-needs students. Collaboration & Case Management• Attend Case Management Team (CMT) meetings. • Work closely with School Counsellors, SENO, Discipline Team and Student Development Team. • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling student matters. • Monitor and report student progress when required.
