About the JobWe are seeking an experienced, elite-level SuccessFactors Compensation & Variable Pay Lead to drive the end-to-end design, configuration, and structural harmonization of compensation solutions across a complex, global multi-instance enterprise. Operating across multiple business clusters, regional legal entities, and international joint ventures, you will serve as the primary global Subject Matter Expert (SME). You will lead a high-performing team of functional consultants to translate complex corporate Total Rewards strategies into highly performant, automated, and legally compliant cloud configurations. This role requires a rare combination of deep technical system configuration mastery, data architecture alignment, and the executive presence necessary to navigate competing priorities across diverse corporate geographies. Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal Architecture, Solution Design & Harmonization • Module Blueprinting: Lead the end-to-end global design, configuration, and implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modules across a complex multi-instance landscape. • Process Harmonization: Identify standardization opportunities across global clusters to harmonize compensation templates, budgeting guidelines, eligibility logic, and localized approval workflows. • Complex Rule Configuration: Define and document region-specific plan variations, including intricate proration logic, local payout calendars, plan suspension triggers, and multi-currency exchange matrix rules. • Executive & LTI Architecture: Assess system capabilities and boundaries for executive compensation and Long-Term Incentives (LTI), formulating structured data-handoff and integration specifications for external shares/LTI vendors. Variable Pay, Incentives & Data Integration • Incentive Delivery: Architect and deploy highly scalable annual bonus programs, sales incentive matrices, spot awards, and performance-linked payout frameworks. • Cross-Module Ingestion: Configure data pipelines to consume upstream calibration and rating outputs from Performance & Goals Management (PMGM) seamlessly within live variable pay worksheets. • Data Architecture & Lineage: Map critical real-time integration points linking Compensation modules with Employee Central (job, org, and core pay data layers) and downstream global payroll and corporate finance systems. • Migration Oversight: Govern complex data migration, structural mapping, and historical delta-load activities for enterprise compensation records. Governance, Analytics & Team Leadership • Governance Controls: Establish rigid configuration management, regression testing frameworks, and release management governance baselines for global instances. • Executive Intelligence: Design and deploy advanced compensation analytics, executive dashboards, and specialized reporting structures utilizing the SAP SuccessFactors Story Reports suite. • Workstream Leadership: Lead, mentor, and orchestrate onshore and offshore functional consultants; run technical design walkthroughs and scoping workshops alongside Total Rewards and Finance leadership. • Value Tracking: Establish systemic KPIs to track business value realization, focusing on cycle processing speed, manual reduction targets, and pay equity data health. Skills & Experience RequiredMust-Have Skills (Mandatory for Skills Matching) • SuccessFactors Expertise: Minimum 8+ years of hands-on HR technology experience with deep configuration and delivery expertise strictly in SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modules. • Global Transformation Leadership: Proven track record acting as the Functional Lead or Solution Architect on large-scale, multi-instance global HR transformation programs. • Cross-Module Dependency Knowledge: Practical working knowledge of Employee Central (EC) data schemas and Performance & Goals Management (PMGM) calibration mechanics. • Data Analytics Toolkit: Hands-on experience developing advanced reports using the SuccessFactors Story Reports framework. • Complex Calculations Setup: Verifiable experience configuring complex funding models, multi-entity eligibility structures, and legal entity proration workflows. Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred Differentiators) • Official SAP SuccessFactors Certified Application Associate / Professional credentials in Compensation or Variable Pay. • Exposure to international compensation compliance frameworks, modern pay transparency legislations, and pay equity analytics models. • Familiarity with the application of emerging AI/GenAI capabilities within predictive compensation analytics or decision support mapping. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics, or an equivalent technical/quantitative discipline. • Exceptional consulting and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to steer senior Total Rewards, HR, and IT executive stakeholders confidently.
