About this role
We are seeking a System Administrator with at least 1 year of experience in supporting systems and networks within an enterprise environment. Prior experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) is an added advantage. In this role, you will function as a Level 1 / Level 1.5 support specialist in a 24/7 enterprise setting, focusing on proactive monitoring, initial troubleshooting, and timely escalation of incidents. Key Responsibilities• Manage and support IT infrastructure and data centre operations, including basic administration of systems, networks, databases, and applications. • Monitor and respond to alerts generated through systems, emails, and other monitoring tools. • Utilize monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds and Grafana to oversee system and application performance. • Evaluate alerts to determine severity and business impact, and escalate when necessary. • Log, track, and update incidents, service requests, and change activities using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow). • Carry out routine operational tasks, including system health checks and service restarts. • Follow established incident management procedures to diagnose root causes, resolve issues, or escalate within SLA guidelines. • Maintain and update technical documentation, particularly for NOC processes and operational procedures. Requirements• Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems (or equivalent). • Basic hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, and/or Unix system administration. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in fault isolation and issue resolution. • Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail, patience, and a collaborative team approach. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills in systems and network technologies. • Availability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
