YOUR NEW JOBAs a System Engineer, you’ll be deployed onsite at a local bank, supporting server infrastructure and data centre operations. You’ll handle installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and virtualised environments. This is a 12-month contract role (renewable). WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING• Provide onsite support for server and infrastructure environments • Install, configure, and maintain servers and related systems • Troubleshoot hardware and system issues in data centre environments • Support virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware) and Microsoft systems • Perform server upgrades, decommissioning, and patching activities • Handle cabling, KVM setup, and basic data centre tasks • Support ongoing infrastructure projects and BAU operations • Work closely with client teams on incident resolution and requests WHAT IS NEEDED FROM YOU• 1–3 years of experience in system / infrastructure support • Basic knowledge of servers (HP, Dell) and data centre environments • Familiarity with Windows Server and/or VMware • Hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, and support • Good communication skills and ability to work onsite with clients WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT• Exposure to banking or regulated environments • Experience with Linux (e.g. Red Hat) or automation tools • Strong willingness to learn and grow in infrastructure engineering • Comfortable working in fast-paced, onsite support roles • Chinese proficiency for internal & external stakeholder communication
