Office Hours: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Normal office hours with standby support required when operationally necessary) Work Location: Changi Airport Employment Type: 1-year Contract (Renewable) Eligibility: Singaporean / PR only Role Summary The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and administration of airport operational systems and supporting infrastructure environments. This role supports mission-critical operational systems across networking, virtualization, servers, security platforms, and operational systems while working closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure operational stability and service continuity. The successful candidate should possess strong troubleshooting capability, operational discipline, willingness to learn, and the ability to support multiple infrastructure and operational platforms within a fast-paced airport operational environment. Key Responsibilities • Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of Windows servers and Windows domain environment • Support operational activities for virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere • Assist in configuring, upgrading, and maintaining network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls • Perform network troubleshooting and support LAN operational activities including routing and switching environments • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting support for network connectivity, hardware, and performance-related issues • Use network observability and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds to monitor network performance and report anomalies • Perform system monitoring, health checks, backup validation, recovery support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution • Support software and hardware installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational recovery activities • Support airport operational systems and infrastructure platforms to ensure operational availability and stability • Support incident handling, troubleshooting, escalation, and service restoration activities in accordance with operational procedures • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders during operational activities, maintenance, and incidents • Participate in implementation, testing, maintenance, and operational readiness activities • Assist in implementing basic network security measures, including firewall rule adjustments and access control updates • Maintain and update network diagrams, topology maps, SOPs, operational records, technical documentation, and change records • Ensure operational activities are performed in accordance with ITIL service management practices and operational procedures Education & Qualifications • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or ITIL certifications, are advantageous • Foundational certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are preferred Knowledge & Skills • Knowledge or operational exposure to Windows Server and Windows domain environments • Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, NAT, routing, switching, and LAN environments • Good foundational understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure environments • Knowledge or exposure to VMware vSphere virtualization environments • Basic understanding of SQL/database concepts is advantageous • Familiarity with Palo Alto, Fortinet firewall environments, SolarWinds or similar infrastructure/network monitoring tools, and ITIL service management practices is preferred • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills • Willingness to learn and support multiple infrastructure and operational platforms • Proficient in English; Mandarin/Chinese is advantageous for stakeholder and vendor communication Experience • 2-3 years of experience in IT operational support, infrastructure support, or system support is preferred • Exposure to networking, virtualization, Windows server, firewall, or infrastructure operational support is advantageous • Experience supporting mission-critical or 24x7 operational environments is an advantage • Experience in airport, aviation, or large-scale operational environments is advantageous • Customer-facing or stakeholder coordination experience is preferred Personal Qualities • Responsible, proactive, and positive attitude with strong ownership and operational discipline • Good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure • Strong learning mindset, adaptability, and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills • Able to follow operational procedures and escalation processes effectively
