About this role
We are looking for an experienced Telecommunication Engineer to support offshore oil and gas engineering projects. The successful candidate will serve as the technical focal point for all telecommunication deliverables across FEED, detailed design, and/or EPCIC project phases. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversee all telecommunication engineering activities, ensuring deliverables meet project specifications, schedule, and cybersecurity requirements • Prepare and review telecom engineering documents including design basis, philosophy, block diagrams, system specifications, and technical requisition packages • Develop process control domain (PCD) network architecture design — physical and logical drawings, network design specs, and integrity specifications • Oversee cybersecurity design for Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS), including risk assessments and countermeasure implementation • Coordinate with EPC contractors, telecom system integrators, vendors, and client representatives • Review vendor submittals, conduct technical bid evaluations, and provide procurement support • Support brownfield/tie-in engineering and interface with other engineering disciplines • Prepare cost estimates and provide input to project planning and budget control REQUIREMENTS • • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Systems Engineering (major in Telecommunication) or equivalent • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in telecommunication engineering in the oil and gas industry • Proven experience as Telecommunication Engineer on FEED, detailed design, or EPCIC projects involving offshore platforms (CPP, WHP, FPSO, LQ) or onshore facilities • Strong knowledge of telecom systems: VSAT, microwave/troposcatter radio, LTE, VHF/UHF/HF radio, fiber optic (OTN, DWDM), PABX, LAN/WAN, MPLS, VOIP • Familiar with safety and security systems: PAGA, CCTV, POB/E-Mustering, RFID/access control, intrusion detection • Knowledge of DCS, SIS, FGS integration and process control domain networks • Cybersecurity experience for IACS/OT environments (IEC 62443 or equivalent) is an advantage • Registered Professional Engineer (BEM) and/or ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer preferred • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Network Management Systems • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Able to work independently.
