Tidal Gate Operator

Position : Tidal Gate Operator Location : Jurong/Punggol/Pandan Working Days : 5 Days( shifts by choice) Job Description: a) Monitor reservoir and/or canal water levels and operate the tidal/crest gates and drainage pumps in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). b) Monitor reservoir water quality and operate low-level sluice valves to release water for scouring, while monitoring reservoir levels in accordance with SOP. c) Monitor weather conditions within the reservoir catchment area. d) Monitor Closed-Circuit Televisions (CCTVs) for reservoir, canal and gate operations . e) Assist in stoplog lifting operations during isolation of gates . f) Conduct security checks on personnel and vehicles at the tidal gates prior to entry/exit . g) Perform other operational duties directly related to tidal gate and reservoir operations, as directed by the Board, such as but not limited to, assisting in periodic site and equipment inspections at unmanned tidal gate installations, monitoring operational equipment, and supporting routine maintenance activities etc.
