Water Treatment Technician / UPW Technician – 1 Year ContractLocation: Singapore Employment Type: Contract (1 Year) About the RoleAn established engineering and environmental solutions provider is seeking experienced Water Treatment Technicians to support operations and maintenance activities within industrial and semiconductor facilities. The role will support Ultra Pure Water (UPW), wastewater, and utility treatment systems to ensure smooth and reliable plant operations. Key Responsibilities• Operate and maintain UPW, wastewater, and industrial water treatment systems • Perform routine inspection, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of pumps, valves, filters, dosing systems, and treatment equipment • Monitor plant performance, process parameters, alarms, and system conditions through SCADA/HMI systems • Support daily plant operation activities to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements • Conduct sampling, testing, and recording of water quality parameters • Assist engineers and supervisors during shutdowns, maintenance, and commissioning activities • Troubleshoot equipment faults and escalate technical issues when required • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, checklists, and operational records • Coordinate with operations teams, contractors, and vendors during site activities • Ensure housekeeping and compliance with site EHS procedures at all times Requirements• NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification • Minimum 2 years of experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, UPW systems, or utility plant operations • Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, industrial plant, or utilities environment is preferred • Basic knowledge of SCADA, HMI, PLC, or plant monitoring systems • Familiar with pumps, piping systems, valves, filters, chemical dosing, and utility equipment • Able to perform shift work or site-based support if required • Good troubleshooting and communication skills Preferred Experience• Semiconductor fab or cleanroom environment • Exposure to RO, EDI, UF, IX, chemical dosing, and filtration systems • Experience supporting maintenance or plant operation teams Additional Information• 1-year renewable contract • Opportunity to work on critical industrial and semiconductor utility systems • Training and project exposure provided within a fast-paced engineering environment
