About this role
We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment / Reverse Osmosis (RO) Operations Technician with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in water treatment plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting reverse osmosis systems and associated water treatment equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance. Key Responsibilities• Operate and monitor Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, filtration units, pumps, dosing systems, and associated water treatment equipment. • Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment and ensure operational parameters are maintained within specification. • Perform water quality testing and record operational data, including conductivity, pH, turbidity, flow rates, and chemical consumption. • Carry out preventive maintenance and basic corrective maintenance on water treatment equipment. • Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. • Monitor chemical dosing systems and ensure safe handling and storage of treatment chemicals. • Prepare daily operational reports, log sheets, and maintenance records. • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and quality standards. • Support plant shutdowns, start-ups, and commissioning activities when required. • Participate in emergency response and plant recovery activities as necessary. Requirements• Minimum 3 years of solid experience in water treatment plant operations. • Proven experience operating and maintaining Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems. • Familiarity with water treatment processes such as filtration, softening, UF, EDI, demineralisation, and chemical dosing systems. • Ability to interpret P&IDs, operating manuals, and technical documentation. • Experience conducting water quality analysis and operational monitoring. • Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. • Good understanding of workplace safety requirements and permit-to-work systems. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.
