Accountant (6-months Contract)

This is a 6-months fixed term contract maternity cover to provide continuity for Bunge Financial Services (BFS) controlling activities by managing core financial reporting, month-end close, and reconciliation processes, while supporting a strong control environment in collaboration with the Finance leadership team. This role focuses on execution and coordination of key BAU activities, with appropriate review and approval by the manager for control-sensitive areas. Main Accountabilities: Financial Reporting & Month-End Close  - Assist in the coordination and execution of monthly Financial Markets (FM) close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting - Prepare monthly balance sheet reviews and variance analysis, highlighting key movements Reconciliations & Data Integrity  - Perform and coordinate key reconciliations, including:       1) FX P&L and MTM reconciliations       2) Intercompany balances       3) Bank, margin, and unmatched trades - Monitor discrepancies and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution - Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data across systems Control & Compliance Support - Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation for review and approval - Support SOX control documentation and evidence preparation, ensuring audit readiness - Prepare inputs for payment processes and control checks, with approvals retained by authorized signatories Stakeholder Coordination - Coordinate with BBS and regional teams (e.g., Singapore, Rotterdam) to ensure timely deliverables - Support communication during month-end close and reporting cycles Requirement  : • Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification with more than 5 years working and audit experience • Possess  minimum 5 years of financial derivative knowledge and accounting treatments • Good communication skills and able to deal with staff at all levels. • Must have SAP experience and familiar with US GAAP preference • Preferable to be from Agribusiness industry • Relevant experience in financial reporting, controlling, or audit • Strong understanding of month-end close and reconciliation processes • Good communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams • Team player and strong interpersonal skills • “Do the right thing” attitude • Ability to work in high stress environment
