Job Description This role supports the organization in meeting its regulatory and regional obligations relating to Anti‑Money Laundering and Sanctions(AML) and Anti‑Bribery & Corruption(ABC). The position also contributes to the development and ongoing enhancement of AML and ABC frameworks that are appropriate to the organization’s business model and risk profile. Given increasing regulatory expectations, the role will work closely with department leadership to strengthen AML and ABC governance, controls, and overall team capability. Key Responsibilities • Establish, maintain, and periodically review the organization’s AML and ABC frameworks, taking into account regulatory requirements, group standards, and the operating environment, including customer, product, and geographic risk factors. • Support senior leadership in analyzing, consolidating, and presenting complex AML and ABC matters, including risk assessments, recommendations, and mitigation strategies, to senior stakeholders. • Promote a strong culture of AML and ABC awareness across the organization through effective engagement and communication. • Assist in the annual enterprise-wide AML and ABC risk assessment process. • Perform quarterly quality assurance reviews of screening and transaction monitoring alerts completed by AML operations and financial crime compliance teams. • Oversee the preparation of quarterly AML and ABC management information (MI) reports for risk committee and governance forums. • Oversee the annual review of high-risk customers. • Identify, monitor, and manage key AML and ABC controls, including customer screening, enhanced due diligence, transaction monitoring, and gifts and hospitality controls. • Support the reporting and presentation of AML and ABC findings to management, group stakeholders, and audit or governance committees, as required. • Provide advice and guidance to management and business units on new products, processes, and initiatives to identify financial crime risks and recommend appropriate controls and mitigations. • Coordinate and manage regulatory interactions with relevant authorities on AML-related matters. • Support suspicious activity reporting obligations and act as a point of contact for AML-related queries in the absence of department leadership, where appropriate. • Support the oversight and delivery of AML and ABC training programmes for board members, employees, and the wider organization. • Partner with relevant business functions on AML matters, including documentation and due diligence requirements for higher-risk customers. Candidate Profile • 5 to 8 years of experience in an AML or financial crime–related role; experience supporting higher-risk or complex clients is an advantage. • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail. • Good understanding of AML regulatory requirements and financial crime risk management practices. • Degree or diploma in any discipline. • Professional AML certifications (e.g. ACAMS, ICA) are preferred but not mandatory.
