About this role
App QA & Deployment Coordinator – Job Description An App QA (Quality Assurance) & Deployment Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that mobile applications are properly tested, stable, and successfully released to users. This role focuses on both quality control and managing the deployment process of app updates across platforms such as the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. In this role, you will assist in testing mobile applications before and after updates are released. This includes checking new features, verifying bug fixes, and ensuring that existing functions continue to work correctly. You will follow basic test cases or guidelines provided by the QA or development team and report any issues or unexpected behaviour found during testing. A key responsibility is to identify and document bugs, glitches, or performance problems in a clear and structured way. You will record details such as steps to reproduce the issue, device type, and severity level. These reports are then shared with developers so they can fix the issues before or after release. Another important part of the role is supporting the app deployment process. This includes coordinating release schedules, ensuring all required updates are ready, and helping to confirm that app versions are correctly uploaded to app stores. You will also check that the correct build version is released and that updates go live without errors. After deployment, you may perform post-release checks to ensure the app is functioning correctly in the live environment. This helps catch any issues that may have been missed during testing and ensures a smooth experience for users. The App QA & Deployment Coordinator also helps maintain release documentation and tracking logs. These records include details of what changes were made in each update, test results, and deployment status. Attention to detail is very important in this role, as even small issues can affect user experience. Good organisation and communication skills are also needed when working with developers, QA testers, and product teams. Basic understanding of mobile apps and testing processes is helpful. Familiarity with tracking tools, spreadsheets, or bug reporting systems is an advantage. This role is suitable for individuals who are detail-oriented, organised, and interested in ensuring mobile apps are high quality and properly released. It can be done remotely or in an office environment depending on the company.
