About this role
This is a 1 year contract position with an option to convert to permanent employment based on performance and business needs. Patec Group is a manufacturing company headquartered in Singapore with multiple factories and offices across Taiwan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Hungary. The Assistant Manager, Group HR supports HR operations, reporting, and projects across these entities, with a focus on Taiwan HR, Group-wide initiatives, and operational continuity for our Singapore-based entities. Job Scope • Manage day-to-day HR operations including employee confirmations, claims processing, leave management, work passes, employee records, HR letters, and offboarding for the Singapore & Taiwan offices. • Conduct new hire orientations and assist the Manager, Group HR in handling employee grievances. • Collate HR reports for the entire group to support management decision-making and headcount tracking across all entities and factory locations. • Manage end-to-end recruitment for Taiwan-based roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and offer management. • Process Taiwan payroll and tax, ensuring compliance with local employment regulations, and serve as backup for Singapore payroll processing. • Drive the Group's HRMS BIPO implementation project, working closely with vendors to meet project milestones. • Lead Learning & Development initiatives across the Group, including identifying skills gaps, sourcing training courses, and managing the training budget. • Manage the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) tracking and reporting for the Group. • Support internal and external audits by providing required HR documentation and data. • Support in HR transformation projects to support organisational change and capability building. • Manage government grant applications to support workforce development, training, and transformation initiatives. • Lead and execute employee engagement activities to foster a positive work culture. Requirements • Possess a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. • Have at least 4 to 6 years of HR experience. • Demonstrate hands-on experience in HR operations, payroll processing, and recruitment. • Familiarity with Taiwan HR practices and regulations is preferred but not mandatory. • Experience working with an HRIS platform, particularly BIPO, is an advantageous. • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and handle confidential information with discretion. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across different entities and cultures.
