About this role
Contract: 12 Months Location: Raffles Place Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Salary: $3,200 – $3,500 (depending on experience) Completion Bonus: 1 month bonus upon successful completion of 1-year contract The Role: 1. Claims Assessment & Decision Making • Assess and approve personal accident claims accurately within established turnaround times and policy guidelines. • Review medical, financial, and supporting documentation to ensure appropriate claim decisions and reserve adequacy. • Review pending claims to ensure timely resolution and proper closure. • Identify claim patterns, anomalies, or potential abuse, and recommend process improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency. 2. Stakeholder & Customer Engagement • Collaborate with medical institutions, policyholders, and internal stakeholders to obtain and clarify clinical information or outstanding requirements. • Provide high standards of customer service and maintain strong relationships with customers and distribution channels. 3. Compliance • Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements. • Maintain integrity and accountability in all claims decisions in line with business and regulatory standards. Requirements: • Must have: Bachelor’s degree in insurance or healthcare / relevant professional Insurance Certificates • Min. 3 years of experience in accident, health, or life claims. • Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare practices, ICD/CPT codes, and insurance policy terms. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex medical data and make sound decisions under pressure. • High attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume workloads without compromising quality. • Customer-focused with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
