Business Analyst Intern

We are seeking a Business Analyst (BA) Intern with a strategic mindset to act as the primary bridge between our Business/Sales team and Data/IT infrastructure. In this role, your mission is to translate high-level business goals into precise data requirements. You will play a pivotal role in our Data Warehouse integration project, ensuring that the system is architected to support real-world sales scenarios and trillion-level transaction analysis. Key Responsibilities • Basic understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (e.g., ETL processes, data schemas, or SQL) is highly preferred. • Strong ability to explain complex business needs to technical teams and simplify technical constraints for non-technical stakeholders. • Ability to apply statistical methods to identify correlations and trends within financial datasets. • Proactively monitor and investigate data discrepancies or unusual fluctuations in transaction volumes. • Participate in the data architecture project, helping to define data fields, mapping logic, and monthly extraction requirements. • Act as a key bridge between the Sales team and the IT department/Data Warehouse vendor to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications. Qualifications & Requirements • Current student or recent graduate in a quantitative field, such as Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or Computer Science. • Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin for liaison with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. • Able to commit at least 6 months for this internship. • Excellent stakeholder management skills; ability to influence and align expectations between Sales/Customer Service and IT. • Proficiency in Excel/SQL is required, but with a focus on Data Architecture—understanding how different data entities relate to each other in a warehouse environment.
