Data Centre (DC) Operator Location: Singapore (may be required to work across multiple sites) Employment Type: Full-Time Working Hours: 12-hour rotating shifts (24/7 operations) Salary: Up to $3,000 basic + shift allowance Overview The Data Centre (DC) Operator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of data centre infrastructure and systems. This includes monitoring hardware, software, and environmental conditions to maintain system availability, reliability, and security. Key Responsibilities • Monitor data centre systems, including servers, network devices, and storage systems, to ensure optimal performance and uptime. • Track and record environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and power usage; ensure cooling systems are functioning effectively. • Support physical security operations, including access control and surveillance systems. • Perform routine visual inspections to identify system faults or abnormalities. • Coordinate on-site activities, including equipment handling, preparation for installation/removal, and liaison with facility management teams. • Escort vendors, engineers, and visitors within the data centre when required. • Support onboarding and offboarding activities for customers. • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate according to established procedures. • Respond promptly to operational requests via calls, emails, or ticketing systems. • Maintain accurate documentation, including access logs, environmental records, and incident reports. • Perform any other duties as assigned. Requirements • Minimum NITEC in IT or a Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Information Systems, or equivalent • At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in data centre operations (candidates with less experience may be considered) • Basic knowledge of data centre monitoring tools and infrastructure • Working knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems in a data centre environment • Basic understanding of Windows Server, Windows 10, and Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to work independently • Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 environment • Able to travel between work locations as required How to Apply: Interested applicants, please click on the “Apply Now” to submit your updated resume.
