Deputy Director - Event, Production and Delivery

About the Role Join a dynamic Event Programming & Management team to lead the delivery of high-quality event productions and experiences. You will oversee production planning, technical execution, and vendor management to ensure events are delivered safely, smoothly, and within budget while supporting impactful community and large-scale programmes. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Design • Translate event requirements into technical production plans • Develop staging, AV, lighting, and technical layouts • Assess technical feasibility and define production specifications Production Execution & Event Delivery • Oversee event setup, rehearsals, live execution, and teardown • Manage production crews, vendors, and on-site technical operations • Resolve live event issues and ensure operational readiness Vendor & Technical Partner Management • Source and manage production vendors and service providers • Evaluate vendor performance and maintain quality standards • Negotiate scope and manage deliverables Budgeting & Cost Control • Develop and manage production budgets • Monitor costs and optimise spending while maintaining quality • Support CAPEX planning, procurement, and equipment lifecycle management • Oversee the purchase, maintenance, and renewal of production equipment, while working closely with Operations and Finance teams to ensure functionality, cost efficiency, and proper budget control Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure compliance with safety, technical, and regulatory requirements • Conduct risk assessments and contingency planning • Minimise technical disruptions and operational risks EA License No: 96C4864 Reg.
