Director, Project Office (BioScience & MedTech) Role Overview We are looking for a Director, Project Office to lead the planning and development of facilities and asset strategies supporting research and office workspace needs. The role drives long-term space master planning, infrastructure renewal, and project delivery to ensure sustainable outcomes. It also involves close stakeholder engagement to deliver projects within scope, quality, budget, and schedule, and ensure smooth transition into operations. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning • Develop long-term space strategies and master plans aligned with growth and infrastructure needs Project Delivery • Lead construction and refurbishment projects from planning to completion within scope, quality, budget, and timeline • Manage feasibility studies, user requirements, budgeting, procurement, approvals, safety, quality assurance, issue resolution, and handover to operations (including DLP support) Compliance & Stakeholders • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards • Engage internal teams, users, and landlords to align requirements and resolve issues Space Optimization & Cost Management • Develop standard space guidelines and improve utilization across sites • Drive value engineering and cost-effective solutions Performance Monitoring • Track and evaluate space utilization outcomes and continuously improve efficiency and functionality Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in construction management, project management, or asset portfolio management • Registered Professional Engineer preferred. • At least 7 years of experience in Biosafety Level laboratory (R&D) space planning and development • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and technical drawings • Familiar with local building codes and construction processes. • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; self-driven, meticulous, and highly organized.
