ENGIE SERVICES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is hiring for a Engineer internship — a 12-month, on-site Consulting role based in PASIR PANJANG ROAD, Singapore. It is an unpaid internship. About this role
Responsibilities • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of runway, taxiway, apron lighting systems, approach lighting systems, PAPI systems, stop bars, airfield guidance signs, Airfield Lighting Control Centre (AFLCC), and associated M&E systems. • Ensure high availability and reliability of airfield lighting systems to meet operational safety and regulatory requirements. • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance activities in compliance with CAAS regulations, ICAO Annex 14, Airport Operational and Safety (AOS) requirements, Airside Work Procedures (AWP), and Airfield Lighting (AFL) Standard Operating Procedures. • Troubleshoot and rectify faults related to Constant Current Regulators (CCR), field circuits, transformers, lamps, AFLCC systems, and associated electrical and control equipment. • Monitor and achieve maintenance service levels and KPIs specified under maintenance contracts. • Lead or support the installation, modification, upgrading, testing, and commissioning of airfield lighting systems, AFLCC systems, and associated infrastructure. • Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and project documentation to ensure compliance with operational and technical requirements. • Coordinate with airport authorities, consultants, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate maintenance and project execution activities. • Supervise site works, contractors, technicians, testing activities, and commissioning processes to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion. • Ensure compliance with ICAO, FAA, CAAS, and other applicable technical standards and regulatory requirements. • Manage project schedules, resources, quality standards, and cost control to achieve project objectives. • Prepare and maintain test reports, commissioning records, technical documentation, as-built drawings, and project close-out documents. • Implement and comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work systems, and airside safety procedures. • Participate in audits, inspections, safety reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and operational safety. • Provide standby and on-call support for critical system failures and emergency maintenance requirements. • Respond promptly to airfield lighting faults and outages to minimise operational disruptions. • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve system reliability. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, asset performance, fault history, downtime, and lifecycle management data. • Utilise maintenance and asset management systems such as CMMS, ALIS, AIMS, and FMS for planning, tracking, and reporting purposes. • Prepare technical reports, performance analyses, and management updates on system status and maintenance activities. • Supervise and provide technical guidance to technicians, subcontractors, and junior engineering staff. • Coordinate with airport operations teams to plan and execute airside works with minimal impact on airport operations. • Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts, materials, and equipment. • Support technical training, knowledge sharing, and competency development initiatives within the team.
