Commercial & Investment Bank Events – Contractor (until end Dec 2026) Description for candidates Join my client's Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) Events team, where you will collaborate with diverse lines of business to plan and execute high-standard client and internal events. Based in Singapore, you will leverage your expertise to deliver impactful programs that align with our business strategy, while managing costs effectively. This role offers significant exposure to senior management and requires strategic, financial, and project coordination skills. As an Analyst in the CIB Events team, you will lead regional event initiatives, partnering with lines of business, marketing, and other functions to develop programs that align with business strategy. You will manage the end-to-end process of event planning, from inception to execution, including venue research, budget management, and event-related reporting. Your role involves significant interaction with senior management and requires a thorough understanding of business strategy and goals. Job responsibilities · Lead and support event initiatives in region, partnering with lines of businesses, marketing and functions to develop impactful events aligned to business strategy · Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with confidence in being an ambassador to internal clients. Ability to interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and across Lines of Businesses · Hands-on self-starter with strong project management and team player skills, and flexibility to support team members with their events and also manage an event on an end-to-end basis. Candidate must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple tasks · Manage external vendors and venues as well as the end-to-end process of event planning, ranging from event briefs, research, approvals, invitee & speaker management, venue set-up, event design, onsite support, production management (audio-visual, virtual event management), budget management and post-event analysis. · Adhere to internal policies and procedures with regards to reporting activities and spend, compliance regulations, approval processes and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place · Accurately maintain Events database which includes (but is not limited to) event metrics, budgets, invoicing, ticketing and event collateral Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills · Degree in Events, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Hotel Management, or a related degree is preferred · Minimum 3 years of experience in event planning and management/execution, preferably in the financial services industry · Strong problem-solving, analytical and project management skills with the ability to confidently lead and manage events on an end-to-end basis · Client-focused, highly organized and process-oriented with the ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines · Confidence to be an ambassador to internal management with the ability to forge strong relationships, interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and across Lines of Businesses · Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player with proven ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. Effectively collaborate with team members, vendors and internal and external stakeholders at all levels · Excellent English oral and written communications skills with a high level of attention to detail. · Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and must be savvy with technology · Periodic after-hours work will be required · Periodic travel within Asia Pacific may be required Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills · Experience working in the financial services industry · Proficiency in Mandarin is required to liaise with stakeholders in China and Taiwan.
