About this role
Responsibilities The Finance Officer supports backend finance and administrative functions within the division. The officer’s responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: • Prepare bank reconciliations for daily collections. • Follow up on discrepancies identified from bank reconciliation, including processing of refunds. • Prepare and process payments to external parties. • Assist to resolve and clear backlog cases. • Prepare journal adjustments for internal funds transfers. • Prepare and sort data extracted from source system/ financial accounting system. • Assist in the procurement of goods and services. • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining proper filing of hardcopy/softcopy supporting documents/ emails. • Undertake any other duties assigned by the Finance Officer/Manager. Requirements • Diploma in Accountancy. Candidates without the diploma but with relevant work experience will also be considered. Candidates with any diploma and no prior experience who are comfortable working with numbers are welcome to apply. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and the ability to work with multiple IT systems. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. • Meticulous and pay attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in procurement and financial tasks. • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Contract duration: 3 months (extendable by 9 months based on performance) Working Arrangement • Monday to Thursday: 8am to 5.30pm • Friday: 8am to 5pm • Not required to work during weekends and public holidays.
