Full Stack Engineer (Application Development & Modernisation)

Role OverviewWe are partnering with our client to hire a hands-on Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and enhance applications that support critical business operations. This role sits at the intersection of application development and system modernisation, offering the opportunity to work across both legacy platforms and modern cloud environments. You will play a key role in delivering scalable, reliable solutions while contributing to ongoing transformation initiatives. Employment Type: 1-Year Contract Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, and deploy applications aligned with business and operational needs • Translate functional and business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions • Build and enhance workflows, forms, and system integrations to improve efficiency • Develop and integrate backend services, APIs, and data-driven components • Conduct testing, debugging, and provide ongoing application support • Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability through best practices • Deliver enhancements, bug fixes, and continuous improvements • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and solution architects • Maintain clear and structured technical documentation • Take ownership of assigned modules and contribute to end-to-end delivery Data Migration & Modernisation • Design and execute data migration activities ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness • Analyse legacy data structures and map them to target data models • Develop and optimise migration scripts and pipelines • Validate migrated data through reconciliation, testing, and quality checks • Support migration cutover planning and execution Technology LandscapeYou will be part of a system transformation journey: • Current Environment: Sybase databases, Java-based applications • Target Environment: Cloud-based architecture on Microsoft Azure (GCC), Azure SQL, .NET applications This role provides exposure to large-scale migration and modernisation initiatives. Required Skills & Experience• Hands-on experience in application development (full stack or low-code platforms) • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) • Experience in API development and system integrations • Working experience with Java and/or .NET technologies • Exposure to data migration activities, tools, or related projects • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities • Experience supporting system migration or modernisation efforts is advantageous • Exposure to enterprise-scale systems or public sector environments is a plus • Comfortable working in Agile or collaborative delivery teams All information will be kept strictly confidential.
