Investment Research Associate (Japanese‑Speaking)

[Job ID: 1148820] Responsibilities: • Conduct research on new investment opportunities in emerging technology sectors such as renewable energy, AI, FinTech, digital solutions, and drones. • Support start-up investment activities across Southeast and South Asia, including pipeline development and evaluation. • Perform start-up research through online platforms, industry databases, and offline channels such as events and networking sessions. • Assist with internal due diligence processes for potential investments. • Organize and conduct site visits to start-up operational locations. • Manage and support existing portfolio start-ups. • Perform market research and industry analysis to support investment and consulting decisions. • Coordinate proof-of-concept (PoC) projects in collaboration with start-ups. • Assist in consulting engagements with corporate clients on innovation programs, start-up matching, and related initiatives. • Provide support for Human Resource Development and Project Investment business activities. • Carry out ad-hoc tasks assigned by senior staff, managers, and directors. Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of experience in market research within IT, FinTech, renewable energy, AI, digital, drone, or other emerging technology sectors. • Proficiency in Japanese language (at least JLPT N2–N3) for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders. • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations and research reports. • Strong interest in business management and investment-related activities. • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and soft skills, including initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn • Experience in a similar industry or role is an added advantage We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
