About this role
Server Administration and System Operations (60%) • Assist in the administration, monitoring, and maintenance Linux and Windows server environments. • Support routine server operations including system health checks, patching, and security compliance activities. • Assist with file server and storage management, including access control and folder structure maintenance. • Support server provisioning, decommissioning, and basic troubleshooting in accordance with established IT SOPs. • Maintain system documentation, change records, and operational logs to support audit and continuity requirements. Animation PC and Renderfarm Support (30%) • Provide technical support for high-performance animation workstations (PCs) used in ADM labs and studios. • Assist in troubleshooting performance, hardware, and software issues related to animation and media production workflows. • Support basic renderfarm operations, including render job submissions, queue monitoring, and first-level issue resolution. End User Support and IT Services (10%) • Provide first-level IT support to faculty, staff, and students for desktops, laptops, and peripherals. • Assist with software installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting for Windows and macOS systems. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline. • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in server and system operations. • Min 3 years of Technical expertise in Linux and Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V). • Good working knowledge of server and system security, backup and recovery, and hardware maintenance. • Experience with shared storage and enterprise networking technologies. • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. • Proficiency in providing end-user support for Windows and Mac OS based computers. • Experience in managing animation/VFX pipelines, render farms, or media production infrastructure will be an added advantage We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
