The Company Our client in the semiconductor industry is looking to hire a Cost Accountant on a 1 year contract. The Role This role supports Operations Finance activities with a strong focus on inventory and manufacturing accounting. Key responsibilities include month end and quarter end closing for inventory and manufacturing-related accounts, production variance analysis, and preparation of monthly management reports comparing actuals against forecast. The role supports standard cost cycles, reserve analysis during close, supplier rebate forecasting and actual calculations, and FP&A activities for Singapore. It also involves following up on open purchase orders and operations-related accruals to ensure accuracy, supporting annual physical inventory counts for manufacturing suppliers, and participating in semi annual financial assessments for inventory vendors. Additional responsibilities include liaising with internal and external auditors and supporting ad hoc finance activities as required. Your Profile The ideal candidate holds a Degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification, with at least three years of relevant experience in costing, inventory, or manufacturing finance. Strong Excel skills are essential, with good working knowledge of accounting principles and MS Office applications; SAP experience is an advantage. The candidate should be meticulous, organised, and process driven, with the ability to work comfortably with cost structures, manufacturing concepts, and large datasets. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required. Experience in a multinational environment and/or the semiconductor industry will be viewed favourably.
