About this role
What You'll DoFold to Standard• Fold finished items as they come off the dryers, ironers, and rollers: bedsheets, pillowcases, towels (face / hand / bath / pool), F&B linens (napkins, tablecloths), uniforms, bathrobes. • Each client has their own fold style — you'll be trained on the specific size, fold pattern, and stacking pattern for each. Once trained, you stay consistent. • Operate the folding machines where applicable (sheet folders, towel folders); hand-fold the rest. Count Discipline• Count items as you fold them. Stacks of 10, 12, or 25 depending on the client. Mark the running count on the station tally sheet. • At the end of each batch, your count must match what came out of the dryer. If it doesn't, you raise it before the items leave your station. • Count is not optional. What you count is what gets billed — wrong counts here become wrong invoices later. Quality Check• Reject torn, stained, faded, or damaged items. Place them in the rewash or reject bin per our handling rules. • Spot fabric damage from over-drying, ironing burns, or rough handling — flag the wash/iron team if you see a pattern. • A client who gets a single dirty towel back is more upset than one who gets a slightly delayed delivery. Quality always wins. Hand Off Clean Stacks• Stack folded items neatly by client and category, using the fold patterns we trained you on. • Pass completed batches to the packing station with the tally sheet attached. End-of-Shift• Confirm all your tally sheets are filled in and signed. • Flag any unresolved count differences or quality issues to the supervisor. What We're Looking ForMust have: • Steady hands, consistent fold quality. We will test this in the interview. • Patience for repetitive, high-attention work. This role is calm but exact. • Numerate enough to count to 25 reliably without losing track when you're tired or distracted. • Physically able to stand for the full shift and handle warm/hot fabric coming off the dryer. • Basic English to read tally sheets and station instructions. Mandarin / Malay / Tamil / Bengali a plus. Nice to have: • Prior commercial laundry, hotel housekeeping, or garment factory folding experience. • Familiarity with sheet/towel folding machines. Mindset that fits: • You take pride in a stack of perfectly folded towels — you'd straighten the corners even if no one asked. • You believe a wrong count today is your problem, not someone else's tomorrow. • You'd rather slow down for 30 seconds to recount than guess. Why Join Us• Calm, indoor station work — no heavy lifting compared to other laundry roles. • Clear standards. You'll know exactly what good work looks like. • Stable, growing business; full-time hours with overtime available. • Training provided. No prior folding experience required if you have housekeeping, garment, or detail-work background
