About this role
• Work with officers to engage scam victims and document all interactions. • Explain Restriction Orders (ROs) clearly and guide victims through the process with empathy. • Maintain regular contact to build trust, monitor progress, and provide anti-scam advice. • Support victims in regaining confidence while ensuring protective measures are in place. • Refer victims to community and social services, and involve them in support groups and activities. • Coordinate assessments, case conferences, and scheduling during the RO period. • Monitor for ongoing or new scam risks and escalate concerns when needed. • Build partnerships with community agencies to expand support networks. • Maintain accurate case records, track progress, and prepare reports for case reviews and supervisors. Requirements: • Minimum tertiary education • Relevant work experience in Counselling, Social Work, or related fields, demonstrating practical application of counselling or social work principles. • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel) for case documentation, reporting, and data management. • Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills for effective victim engagement across diverse populations. • Good writing skills to draft staff submissions • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including other government and community agencies. • Excellent active listening skills and attention to detail. • Patience, resilience, and emotional stability when working with individuals who may initially be resistant, distressed, or hostile. • Ability to work outside office hours when required to accommodate victim needs and operational demands. • Regular travel required to meet victims at convenient locations outside the office.
