Manufacturing Product Engineer(Doors/JAMA/CAD) - Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION Prerequisites • Minimum 3 years of experience in product development environment. • Familiar with Design for Excellence principles. • Experience with various tools. Eg. DOORs, JAMA and SAP. • Preferably experienced in a highly regulated environment. • Preferably with Electromechanical experience. • Familiar with either 3D CAD system such as Solidworks or Electrical CAD system such as Altium designer. Description of job scope is as below but not limited to the following. • • Oversee Design Transfer through the application of Design for Excellence principles. • Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned systems and provide training as necessary. • Act as a liaison between Research & Development, Manufacturing counterparts, and Suppliers. • Ensure ease of assembly and high yield rates by conducting design reviews and utilizing assembly and test fixtures. • Govern and drive cost efficiencies: o Through system design optimization during the design phase, o By applying LEAN principles in manufacturing. • Ensure product development considers future sustaining activities. • Design and develop assembly/test jigs and fixtures. • Ensure proper documentation is available in accordance with Design and Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for instrument industrialization. • Develop and manage workflows with the development team as needed to ensure compliance with QMS requirements. Location: Pioneer, Singapore (Due to the nature of the project, travel to the US, specifically California, is required. Candidates must be open to frequent travel to the US. Contract Duration: 24 months
