Network Operations Engineer

About the Role: TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Network Operations Specialist to support a large-scale enterprise environment. This role focuses on maintaining network stability, managing incidents, and supporting critical perimeter security infrastructure across a global network. You will act as a key point of contact during production incidents, leading triage efforts and ensuring rapid restoration of services while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams. Key Responsibilities: • Lead triage and resolution of network-related incidents, with a focus on business-critical outages • Act as a central coordination point during major incidents and drive resolution efforts across teams • Monitor network health using tools, dashboards, and logs to identify and respond to issues proactively • Manage and support perimeter security technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems • Provide clear and timely status updates to stakeholders, including senior leadership • Document incidents, root cause analysis, and resolution steps accurately • Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for service improvement • Ensure adherence to operational standards, governance, and best practices • Maintain up-to-date documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles • Support continuous improvement initiatives and automation where applicable Required Skills & Experience: • Extensive experience in enterprise network operations or support environments • Strong background in network security technologies, particularly in perimeter and edge security • Solid understanding of: o  Firewall configuration and policy management o  Network address translation (NAT), high availability, and redundancy concepts o  Threat detection and prevention technologies o  Secure network communication and tunnelling protocols • Good knowledge of core network security principles and best practices for protecting external-facing environments • Experience supporting a range of network and infrastructure services, such as: o  Traffic management and load balancing solutions o  Core network services (e.g. name resolution and IP address management) o  Secure web access and proxy solutions o  Data protection and monitoring tools o  Understanding of encryption, certificates, and secure communications • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-availability environment Why Join Us? • Opportunity to work in a global enterprise environment • Exposure to cutting-edge network security technologies • Be part of a high-impact operations team supporting mission-critical systems • Access to continuous learning and career development opportunities We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
