Location: Teck Whye Working Hours: Monday–Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm, Friday: 7:30am – 3:30pm (1 hour lunch break) Contract Duration: 1 Aug 2026 to 31st Jul 2027 (1 Year) Salary: UP $3,800 Provide dedicated one-on-one support to Higher Needs Students through mentoring and encouragement, while inspiring them with motivational talks and activities that build resilience. Facilitate simple physical exercises, supervise academic tasks, and foster students’ social and emotional development through positive role modelling and consistent engagement. Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one support as a dedicated befriender and mentor to Higher Needs Students (HNS), offering consistent guidance and encouragement. • Plan and conduct motivational talks or sharing sessions to inspire students, build resilience, and promote positive attitudes. • Facilitate simple, age-appropriate physical activities or exercises to support students’ overall well-being and engagement. • Supervise and encourage students in completing homework and assigned academic tasks in a structured manner. • Support students’ social and emotional development through positive role modelling and regular engagement. Requirements: • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related discipline. • At least 2 years of relevant experience in youthwork, student support, social services, or related fields. • Prior experience working with adolescents in school-based or structured youth environments will be an advantage. • Ability to communicate and engage effectively with students, parents, and school staff in a professional and respectful manner. • Certification in First Aid, crisis management, crisis de-escalation, or Mental Health First Aid will be an advantage.
