ROCKWELL AUTOMATION ASIA PACIFIC BUSINESS CENTER PTE. LTD. is hiring for a Production Control Analyst (PCA) internship — a 12-month, on-site Operations role based in CORPORATION ROAD, Singapore. It is an unpaid internship. It is open to university students, typically in Year 2–4. Applicants with experience in Production Planning, Spatial Analysis, Line Management, lead time improvement, and Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills are a strong fit.
About this role
This position reports to the Sr PCA Lead and will be trained to create and manage production schedules, monitor inventory, and provide regular production status updates. He/she will learn to ensure production orders are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with customer delivery requirements. Exposure to understand MRP principles, learn to manage deadlines effectively and apply strong organizational and problem-solving skills to support smooth production operations. Learning Outcomes: • Develop and maintain production schedules based on capacity and constraints • Create production plans considering available resources • Manage and update dates for all production orders and purchase orders • Track schedule status, identify issues, and drive resolution to component level • Understand material parameters (lead time, lot size, MOQ, ABC) and their impact on inventory and service • Align planning with demand forecasts, variability, and capacity • Apply bottleneck, line balancing, and capacity planning concepts • Use local MRP systems and SAP T-codes for materials and scheduling activities • Coordinate supplier expedites and manage shortages and escalation processes • Manage PAA, VMI, consignment, and blanket POs • Analyze data using Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and Power BI • Apply structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, PDCA, A3, etc.) • Understand end-to-end material flow, shop floor execution, and cross-functional handoffs • Manage priorities to ensure production plans are executed and customer commitments are met • Assess and manage schedule impacts due to quality issues Technical Skills and Competencies: • Degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
