Closing Date : 11 May(12noon) Location : Irrawaddy Road Contract period : 1 year Working hours: • Monday to Thursday: 8.30am – 6.00pm • Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm • Saturday: Off • Lunch break: 1 hour CONTRACT PSYCHOLOGIST (CRIME PSYCHOLOGY) The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in maintaining safety and security in Singapore through its mission to prevent, deter, and detect crime. Within SPF, the Police Psychological Services Department (PPSD) supports the organisation’s operational and strategic needs through psychological expertise. We are seeking a Contract Psychologist to join the Crime Psychology Division under PPSD. The successful candidate will support psychological research and assessment work focused on scam victims and the Police-Initiated Restriction Order (PIRO) programme. This role involves contributing to evidence-based approaches in crime prevention and victim support, particularly in addressing challenges posed by scam syndicates targeting vulnerable individuals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Contract Psychologist will be responsible for: • Supporting the conceptualisation and review of scam assessment programmes, including determining programme scope and parameters • Developing entry and exit criteria for scam support programmes and conceptualising outcome evaluations • Reviewing and developing evaluation data collection tools such as semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and databases • Conducting data transcription, cleaning, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data • Preparing technical reports for internal use to support victim care efforts • Writing academic reports for potential journal publication • Developing presentation materials for training, seminars, and conferences • Supporting the implementation of trauma-informed practices in policing, particularly in victimology • Conducting training and assessment for various courses • Performing any other duties as assigned by the unit REQUIREMENTS • Degree in Psychology or other relevant discipline. ·Salary ranges from $4,488 - $5,292 per month depending on relevant working experience. • Relevant work experience in psychology or behavioural sciences (experience in forensic psychology, victim support, or related fields will be an advantage) • Experience in research settings and project management • Strong understanding of statistics and proficiency in statistical software • Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in written and spoken in English • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work with sensitive populations and handle confidential information responsibly • Understanding of trauma-informed approaches will be an advantage SELECTION PROCESS • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews • Candidates may be required to complete a work simulation task as part of the selection process • Applicants are required to clearly indicate their preferred position when applying (where applicable) If you meet the requirements, please submit your resume directly to eg@businessedge.com.sg • EA License No: 96C4864 Reg.
