About this role
We are looking for a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to oversee safety, health, and environmental compliance across our projects. The role involves site inspections, safety training, incident investigation, and working closely with management and stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture. Working Days: 6 days per week Working Hours: 8 hours per day (8am – 5pm / 8.30am – 5.30pm) – depend on the site Key Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with WSH regulations, standards, and safe work practices. • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments. • Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions. • Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and WSH training. • Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare reports with recommendations. • Prepare weekly and monthly WSH reports and maintain HSE documentation. • Participate in internal and external audits and safety meetings. • Plan and support safety campaigns and improvement initiatives. • Support projects involving SP Group requirements. • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned. Requirements • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health or equivalent. • Minimum 3 years of relevant WSH experience, preferably in cabling or construction. • Familiar with WSH regulations, risk assessments, and safety best practices. • Experience working with SP Group / Oil & Gas / LTA / PUB is an advantage. • Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to improving safety culture.
