Research Assistant (Child & Youth)

We are looking for a Research Assistant to support a meaningful longitudinal study focused on understanding the resilience and development of children and young persons (CYPs) aged 4–16 who are placed in out-of-home care due to safety concerns. Contract Period: 10 months Working Hours: Mon-Thu: 8.30am to 6pm, Fri: 8.30am to 5.30pm Location: West region Responsibilities: • Conduct content review, fact-checking, proofreading, and copyediting to ensure accuracy and consistency of research outputs • Support coordination of review processes with internal teams, external collaborators, and advisory groups • Assist in preparing materials for research dissemination, presentations, and reporting activities • Perform administrative and coordination tasks, including email drafting, meeting scheduling, and minute-taking • Maintain documentation of research workflows, data processes, and project outputs Requirements: • Minimum Diploma in Social Sciences or related fields (e.g. Psychology, Sociology) • Prior experience in research support, administrative, or analytical roles is an advantage • Strong attention to detail with good writing, editing, and proofreading skills • Basic proficiency in data tools such as Excel (knowledge of SPSS, R, Python, or similar is a plus) By submitting your resume, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information per ScienTec’s Privacy Policy (scientecconsulting.com/privacy-policy).
