About this role
We are looking for a Research Assistant who has been working on advanced ceramics research for at least 3 years. The role will focus on developing novel shaping and sintering techniques of various oxide or carbide ceramics and investigating the processing-structure-properties correlation. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct research work according to project deliverables which involves preparing ceramic green bodies and exploring sintering processes to optimize grain size and density. • Comprehensive analysis of materials including density measurement, microstructure analysis and mechanical/thermal properties, etc. • Draft technical report and manuscript for publication. • Maintenance of specialized sintering equipment and coordinate procurement with external suppliers. Job Requirements: • Bachelor degree with second upper honor degree in Materials science and engineering • At least 3 years of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience in advanced ceramics synthesis and characterization • Familiarity with emerging shaping and sintering techniques of ceramics is preferred. • Good writing skills for writing proposals, reports and publications in good academic journals We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
