The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers. We are looking for a Research Fellow to join the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. The role will focus on educational research and development effort of mathematics education at SPMS, NTU. Key Responsibilities: The short-term responsibility is to plan and implement an educational research and development project in higher mathematics education at SPMS, NTU with collaborations from NIE, NTU. The longer-term responsibility is to sustain the educational research and development efforts in SPMS, NTU through formulating and crafting grant proposals and communicating and sharing of project outcomes internally and externally. Job Requirements: Required educational qualification, experience, skills and competencies • PhD qualification degree in Mathematics or related field • Familiarity with the educational landscape of Singapore. Preferably having taught or tutored students at the tertiary level. • Good written and oral communication skills • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to approach complex problems with creativity and precision. • Ability to work independently, develop solutions under strict timelines We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
