Job Summary The Laboratory Manager is responsible for overseeing thedaily operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficient workflow, regulatorycompliance, and high standards of safety and quality. This role involvesmanaging personnel, overseeing equipment and inventory, and coordinatingresource planning to meet lab objectives. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and coordinate day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure productivity and efficiency • Keep track of compliance with all relevant safety regulations, and institutional policies (E.g IACUC/GMAC/IRB) • Oversee procurement, and inventory of supplies and equipment • Oversee laboratory instruments, coordinating maintenance and calibration • Supervise, train, and onboard laboratory staff, interns and collaborators • Monitor documentation practices according to institutional guidelines • Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices Qualifications andRequirements • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Science) • Proven experience in laboratory operations, with prior supervisory or management experience preferred • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in standard office software • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Key Competencies • Leadership and team management • Attention to detail • Strategic planning and resource management • Adaptability and decision-making under pressure • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
