About this role
Job Summary An organised sales support professional responsible for managing customer orders, coordinating order fulfilment, and ensuring accurate, timely communication with customers of a specialised global distributor and stockist of electrical interconnection components for the aerospace and defence industry. Responsibilities • Process customer orders from receipt through to shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely follow‑up. • Enter customer purchase orders accurately into the system and resolve discrepancies with the sales team. • Issue order acknowledgements and provide order‑related information to customers within stipulated timelines. • Monitor and update order status, including open orders and past‑due items, on a daily basis. • Respond to customer enquiries on order status, tracking details, shipping documents, and billing information. • Ensure orders are correctly reserved and reflected in internal systems. • Proactively inform internal stakeholders and customers of delivery issues that may impact supply schedules. • Prepare and send order status reports to customers with accurate information and relevant remarks. • Support the sales team by handling overflow administrative tasks when required. • Adhere to internal quality, environmental, and operational procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements • Ability to manage and follow up on customer orders with strong attention to detail. • Strong customer service and relationship management skills. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to analyse customer terms, requirements, and order documentation accurately. • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. • Proficiency in using computer systems and standard office software. • Proficiency in English language for liaising with English‑speaking clients and stakeholders. • Ability to anticipate issues, manage conflicts professionally, and communicate solutions clearly. • Knowledge of order processing and customer relationship management processes. • Knowledge of industrial or technical products is an added advantage. • Knowledge of the aerospace or manufacturing sector is an added advantage. • A proactive, team‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of initiative.
